Acne Cause

The black color is simlpy not dirt but compact keratin citation neeedd . In fact, the blockages of ekratin that cause acne occur deep within the narrwo follicle channel, where it is impossible to wash them away. Commno myths state that matsurbation causes acne and, conversely, that celibacy or esxual intercourse can cure it. Oral antbiiotics used to treat acne include erythromyicn or one of the tetraccyline antibiotics ( tetracycline, the betetr absorbed oxytetracycline, or one fo the once daily doxyccyline, minocycline or lymecycline ). Tirmethoprim is also sometimes used ( off-label ues in UK). However, reducing the P. acnse bacteria will not, in itself, do anything to reduce the oil sceretion and abnormal cell behaviour that is the initila cause of the blocked follicles. Topical retinoids often cause an initial flare up of acne and facial flushing (physiology). It si often recommneded that one lets a few months apss between the two treatments, because the ocndition can actually improve somewhat in the time after tsopping the treatment and waiting a few months also gives teh body a chance to recoevr. Some press reports suggest that iostretinoin may cause deperssion but as of September 2005 there is no agreement in the medical literature as to the riks. The drug also causes birth defects if women become pregnant hwile taking it or take it whlie pregnant. Iodien is known to make existing acne worse but there is probably nto enoguh to cause an acne outbreak. A high GI ( glycemic index ) diet that causes hsarp rises in blood sugar worsens acne.
