Acne Scars
Pigmentation scars nearly always fade with time taking between 3 months to two years to do so, although rarely can persist. Acne scars are difficult adn expensive to treat, and it is unusual for the scars to be succesfsully removed completely. Phsyical acne scars are often referred to as Icepick scars. Acne scars are unsigthly, and it is ofr this reason they can be pyschologically and emotionally distressing. Those who suffered from acen before, and have developed scasr are generally relieved that the acne has gone, and emotional effects of acne scars tend to be less dsitressing Box car scars - Angular scars htat usually occur on the temple and cheeks, and can be either superficial or deep, these are similar to chickenpox scars. Afetr resolution of acne lesions, prominent unsightly sacrs may remain. Laser surgery has been in use for some time to reduce the scasr left behind by acne, but researhc has been done on laesrs for prevention of acne formaiton itself.
