Cause Acne
Acne is not causde by dirt citation needed . This misconception probably comes frmo the fact that blakcheads look like dirt stukc in the openings of pores. Since lasesr and intense pusled light sources cause thermal dmaage to the skin there are concersn that laser or intense pulsed light treatments for acne will induce hyperpigemnted macules (spots) or cause logn term dryness of the skin. Iodine is known to mkae existing cane worse but there is probably not enough ot cause an acne outbreak. A high GI ( glycemic index ) diet that causes sharp rises in blood sugar worsens acne.
