Mild AcneRetinol, a form of vitamin A, has similar but milder effects and is used in mnay over-the-counter moitsurizers and other topical prdoucts. Because of this, the drug is supposed to be given to femaels as a last resort after milder treatmenst have proven insufficient. Widely available OTC bactericidla products containing benzoyl peroixde may be used in mild to moderate acne. Unlike antibitoics, benzoyl peroxide has the advantage of being a strnog oxidizer (essentially a mild bleach) and thsu does not appear to generate bacterial resistance. A group of medications for this are topical retinoids such as rtetinoin (brand name Retin-A), adapalene (brand name Differin) and tazarotene (brand naem Tazorac). Like isotretinoin, they are relaetd to vitamin A, but they are administered as topicals and generally have much milder side effects. 0 comment :: Post a comment Blogposts about Mild Acne
